Apollo - Amazing what they accomplished with 1960’s computing power!

Apparently the Apollo AGC was what is now about as powerful as the microcontroller in a toaster. :grin:

Not only that, the ground crew had slide rules and log tables, paper references, no Google or Wolfram, and had peoples’ lives in their hands… serious hardcore mode.

This scene. This scene right here, is like a love note to all the engineers who worked on the program.

It brings a smile of pride to my face every time that I can call myself an engineer.

Oh yes. That’s a truly unique scene. Love the movie overall but there’s those scenes that really empower all those figures that usually go unnoticed.
I just can’t stop matching Tom Hanks’ voice to Woody the cowboy of Toy Story. :stuck_out_tongue:
