Buckle up!

Did I finally break the nerd barrier…?
A five point harness in a fixed base simulator.

When I tried a real Viggen cockpit simulator a few years back, I felt that being strapped in the seat added to the immersion. I told myself that I had to give it a try.

So I got a racing harness on ebay.

It just arrived in the mail. I haven’t mounted it to the frame yet…

Well, somebody had to make that remark…

I was hoping for «50 shades of green» or something along those lines.

Hmmm! I already have the ejection handle. Some fireworks under the seat… Could work you know!

I often wondered sitting in my fighter struggling to find that enemy on my six. I told myself more than once… This is not real… I don’t have the restraints of a harness or the discomfort of a helmet.

Well done Troll, I think you might be sick of the harness as soon as you start to DF.

Still haven’t mounted it. Will do today.
I got up at 03:15 yesterday, so when I got home from work, I felt that I probably better stay away from powertools until I had a good nights sleep…

Yeah, the thought did occur to me
I will be at a serious disadvantage if fighting a TrackIR user
I’m thinking of making some sort of harness inertia reel, allowing me to lean slightly forward. Will see…

Don’t forget the essentials

Hrm… I… kind of… have black Nomex gloves.
I use them at work, and we actually call our department ’special operations’. No, really, we do!
