IS’s working in the morning? Let’s not too crazy here! But yes, some good MIDB data will certainly help.
Concur on the GE to FSX/P3D translation. That said, the ORBX FTX scenery area have some pretty accurate coordinates out on the Juniper Butte and Sailor Creek bombing ranges.

I broke out my GoogleEarth Precision Targeting Station and dropped some DMPIs. I tried them with the Iris F-15 and they worked pretty well, but have’t tried it with the VRS FA-18 with TACPACK.
The key for really accurate coordinates–as it is in the real world–is the Z coordinate (elevation plus target height above ground) of the target (which is why real PTWs show the imagery in 3D…The IS’s using 3D glasses just like those used to watch cheap 3D movies that were popular a few years back.)
In GE they the cursor position will give you elevation. Which is usually enough to load the target into the FA-18 MU.
…or you might use some “HUMINT” - slew ORBX’s BOB out to targets to get the FSX elevation. The perfect spy - he’s invisible!
