Oh yeah, I remember the dreaded red ‘8’ implying you had a bad sector on your diskette.

I remember Screamer for PC. Several disks- and the last one having the .EXE

And of course that was the only disk that stuck with the Abort, Retry, Ignore…
That was the day I learned to Curse.
