Thanks for the explanation!!
Bummer. I just checked out my settings and itās all set like @Derbysieger pointed out. Guess I just suck at formation flying ![]()
Practice is everything, also: do not trim pitch in the Viper
I uninstalled DLSS Swapper and did this:
and there was a significant improvement in visual quality and performance, for me.
Is there a way to see which DLSS preset that DCS is using?
Understood. Wish I could have both. IMO, as I mentioned some in the Moza thread I think, the Viper presets (Cockpit app) feel really good: You can move it to full throws but you donāt need to. And of course the base needs to be very secure (to your desk, etc). My guess is just a few degrees of movement produce a sharp response, and it requires some force. I am getting old though ![]()
Hard to describe. I bought the Moza AB6 for the āChopperās and the Phantom; the VIper wasnāt even on my RADAR so was a nice surprise.
Launch Regedit. Go hereā¦
Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\NVIDIA Corporation\Global\NGXCore
Create a new DWORD (32-bit) Value called ShowDlssIndicator which is case sensitive. Click Decimal and enter 1024 for on, 0 for off.
Thanks!
Will this show until I disable it again?
Yes, edit ShowDlssIndicator and change the Value Data from 1024 Decimal (400 Hexadecimal) to 0 to disable it.
Alternately, in the left column, you can right-click on the folder (Key) NGXCore and chose export. Save that somewhere accessible. Then edit ShowDlssIndicator again to make it 0 and save that in the same place as the first one. To enable or disable the display, double-click the appropriate exported key.
In regards to DLSS, Iād also add the caveat that youāre also offloading workload onto your CPU.
I hope they fix the AI FM for at least the Zero. It was notorious for aileron lockup in dives. At the moment I can only envision PTO Marianas as a slog where AI Zeroes are chasing player Corsairs through 500kt dives.
Ooh, we must talk more about the AB6. They are now available for pre-order at a store here where I have some credit.
I am a poofteenth away from hitting the ābuy nowā button.
I really like it. Been years since my MSFT Sidewinder - decades? I had another near the end of the first FFB eraā¦donāt recall the name but it was kinda junk. Logitech I thinkā¦
Only issues are
- The ācoolieā hat: it is an axis and thereās a way to get it to āactā like a 4-way [buttons] hat (what i want for trim) but itās hit-or-miss getting that to work. Something Iām not understanding, which brings me toā¦
- The Moza Cockpit app: Overall itās pretty good but the āpresetsā organization is a tad confusing. Havenāt looked lately but the manual is MIA. Or it was when I got it - didnāt come with one and the online one [then] was useless.
Those are the only two things that stand out. I got the package deal to includ the MQT (?) throttle. Itās good but could use maybe 2 more buttons and 1 more hat. My Last throttle had TOO MANY hats; you couldnāt manipulate one (of the FOUR) on the face cos they were too close together. Iād grade them all like so:
- FFB Base: A
- Stick: A-
- Throttle: B+
Think it is a good value for the price I paid: FFB + stick + throttle
The buttons on the bottom of the base (8 of them) + two axis levers (small) have come in handy.
Cheers. A couple of follow up questions:
Do you know if it will āplay niceā with other TM peripherals. Specifically TM throttle (Warthog) and pedals (TM pendular)?
It will be available as a bundle here with FFB base + Moza joystick grip (no throttle). It looks like it has the same connection as my TM base for a joystick grip. Will it accept a TM Warthog joystick grip? No biggie if it canāt but it would be handy to have a āspareā / āViperā grip.
Edit: Mods we probably should move this to the Moza thread.
Ya know, I want to say yes cos it sounds familar. It may have been theā¦other brandā¦oh, VKB that actually works directly. I cant find the YT at the moment.
It has the same [annoying to me] physical connection with that goofy āloose wireā-like arrangement and those tiny holes you have to line up.
Glad I donāt have to change grips often.
As far as interfering it shouldnāt as the base plugs into a standard USB. You can ādaisy chainā their throttle with the base thus saving a port. Thatās nice. They use an RJ45? jack on the base side for some reason.
Donāt get me started ![]()
FWIW, I use a Virpil throttle with my Moza AB9 base no problem. It seen by Windows as just another controller. Also use a WinWing CDU and a Stream Deck+. Itās the UN over here.
I have used Moza, Virpil and TM stucks with my AB9. I use WWing Throttles. Cos they rock and Virpil pedals. No issues. FFB is a game changer. About a couple of weeks ago an update put a lot of DCS profiles in the software for Moza. This has been a great addition.
DCS World has a message saying āhave 2 days 23 hours and 59 minutesā Also some modules are disabled. The F-15E and F-14ā¦
I have forgotten how to fix thisā¦
Last time I got that it was because I couldnāt log in due to my internet being out
