Only insofar as by the time the B model came around it was 20 years later and things were a bit different. AIM-54As were only carried by A models, for instance, because the 54C had replaced them all by the B’s time. I forget the Sidewinder models of the A’s introduction, but by the 90s we were all 9L’s and M’s.
It’s all details, though, the basic 9/7/54 AAM package and (rarely) bombs were always the same until the D came along. Then they started upgrading the older Tomcats and carrying LANTIRN and such to end their days over Iraq 2003 in a very different vein from when they started over the end of Vietnam.
