DCS F/A-18C

The GBU-10 then entered into the cockpit of the helicopter, and while it was coming out of the bottom of the aircraft the fuse delay functioned. Then a tremendous explosion disintegrated the helicopter in a huge fireball.

that is the definition of “a bad day” right there

If we get a world map, and something with legs cough mudhen cough, you can guarantee I’m running a monthly mission where we take off from England, hit something in the mid east, and fly back.

Practice your tanking, boys!

I’ll be in the RIO/WSO seat drunk. Wake we me up when we get there.

I’ll host a server of Quake or something so you’ve got an activity while you cruise with autopilot set to altitude/steerpoint hold at V_efficiency for 8 hours.

What’s the matter, 5 hours each way too long for a dart driver?

Ooh, this is a much better idea.

Welcome DCS World the Blue Angels!

PLEASE READ:

1- We plan an option that will allow the pylons to be removed.
2- There will be the option to include each aircraft number of the team. It’s just not ready in these WIP images.

Thanks!
Wags

The Virtual Blue Angels are still a thing, right?

I think so, but now everyone can be one… well when this releases

Sierra Hotel!

Yeah, I just fly it in missions where the targets are within spitting distance. I’m not flying 100 miles in that thing.

I’ll fly like 100 bus lengths.

A common request for our cockpits has been a pilot model when in the cockpit view. Today, we have just that in the Hornet! While particularly immersive when in VR, the pilot model is a valuable element to allow the player to feel “grounded” in the cockpit.

Naturally, this can be defaulted on or off from the Options menu, and manually turned on and off while in a mission.

Thanks,
Wags

I don’t mind a long ingress. Take off in the dark…

Take some time to play with the systems… RTFM… Look around with external views and take screenies…

Get down low and fly through canyons and along rivers…

Avoid enemy radar…

Get down really low and fly under bridges and oil platforms…

Fly upside down at 50’ AGL and look for moire patterns on the ground…

Do a bunch of close flying with your human wingman → having a wingman is what keeps the long flights interesting.

Go open a beer… Get rid of some beer…

Have a smoke… Tell a joke…

And then the target is there…

Say Hi! to your wife…

…and all planning goes awry.

And you do it again until you get it right.
