Oddly, I had to turn everything down to stop all the stutters. I’m not sure that it’s not down to medium by now.
I just don’t take pictures of the terrain!

I think the best thing you tweaked are the time of day and the cloud presets (if it’s one of those) or the weather specific set up (if you didn’t use a preset).
I agree those are amazing shots.

I think it’s just dumb luck…the only kind I have!

I set the time to late afternoon mostly so I could get some pinky ops before turning on the night systems. I think even the clouds are not on max settings.
Unfortunately, the terrain got most of the axe when I started dialing back the settings, so I casually pointed the camera seaward, hoping no one would notice. 
But the sea and the sunset sure are beautiful in DCS, I must say.
