DCS Summer Blockbuster ?
Do you remember as a kid waiting for the release of that Big Blockbuster Movie to come out in Summer?
I’m thinking along the lines of
Star Wars
Jaws
E.T
Smokey and The Bandit
Now that we’ve had a Great Start to our Summer with the release of The Sinai Map and The Strike Eagle
What Releases in DCS would complete your Summer and make it a Block Buster Summer ?

Don’t forget summer of '89, that was considered the first real BB summer with Indiana Jones 3, Ghostbusters 2, Star Trek 5, and Batman.
Previous years had summers with one or maybe 2 big films, but 89 was the genesis of the “summer starts with Memorial Day weekend” film releases that didn’t really change until right before COVID when they started releasing them earlier and later and spreading them around a bit.

Even if it’s still very far away, for me it’s the Panavia Tornado, or, as we sometimes call it in Germany the ‘Klappdrache’ (lit. 'fold(ing) dragon). Jet of my childhood when the Luftwaffe were still doing regular low level flights over the Lower Rhine. The whole classroom would rush to the windows when they were turning east coming from the Rhine. We could actually see the pilots in the cockpits from our classroom windows if we heard them coming early or you were sitting at the window. Now we are lucky if we spot one or two Typhoons in a year.

Correct.
Tadpole, herc and Klappdrache (love that one, almost as good as The Fin) are all years out afaik.
Phantom is the only one that is supposed to be on the home stretch.
But I’d be quite content with just the beagle. So much plane. I love it!

Well of course if you only count the realistic options then yes, the phantom is the only answer but if you ask which one would make the summer for me it would be the Klappdrache.

I hope they open up the Mirage F1 trial when they release the Biplace, that would be pretty cool. Should not be too unrealistic.
Otherwise, some final tweaks to the Gazelle flight model to make it usable above sea level and a pilot body for the Mirage F1 would complete my current top 3.
Unrealistically, the A-6E, F-8, Mirage III or A-7E would make my Summer.

Well if we’re chucking realism out the window, I will ask my genie for a Mirage III, the Fresco, the Flogger, an F-8, the Fin (aka Klappdrache), a SLUF and to top it all off a complete and perfect F-4E. There. Oh and the unanounced but surprisingly feature complete full fidelity Su-34 and MiG-27.
For helicopters, sudden release of the sh1thook and an unanounced simultaneous release of the UH-60.
Oh, and the DC mission generator / metagame.

Do You think The Start of The PTO with The F4U,Essex Class Carrier and Mariana’s WWII +Japanese Assets Pack is unrealistic for a Summer Release?
This and The C-130 would be a Blockbuster Summer Release

I’ve got all I want; and more than my brain can currently handle. A historic PTO would be nice. Maybe an ‘80s Harrier to go with the Falklands.
