I actually love the trends in Apple health.
They give me long term motivation to do sports. It‘s the only apple watch feature I like. I would not sense if my resting pulse rate goes down 20% over the course of 10 months.
But then again I am hardly an athlete. I use a music album to track my pace. If song 3 starts playing and I‘m not at that one bush yet, it means I‘m slow.
I‘ve been listening to Purple Disco Machine since December.

I stopped wearing a watch in 2013, when I left the US Army National Guard. I have my phone which tells time. and only wore a watch so I wouldn’t be late to stuff in the military. Now that I’ve been out never wore one again.

There is definitely freedom and peace in that! I managed to pull it off from 20yo to ~35yo. There was no phones, but clocks are everywhere.

My phone, the thing I am now typing on as I watch the waves, is a slave ship. I die a little death every time I pull it out of my pocket, something I do far less often than most. The watch I am wearing is a lovely Seiko automatic. Take my phone and I’m fine. Take my watch and I’m lost.
