Even as a kid, I sometimes experienced a sort of mild melancholy when I thought about all the places I would never see (life is too short) the places I would never visit, or the many wonderful people I would never meet or know.
Add to that the many things about the universe I will never (or only accidently) get a chance to learn about.
Guess this is one of them! Glad I bumped into it.

What the actual…
Funny enough my mind was similarly blown when I learned about the constant e. And blown further when I was finally able to understand Euler’s Identity (e^(i*pi) + 1 = 0). He was a treasure.
(Oops..just read that the disk has nothing to do with Euler. But the inspiration was real I suppose.)

How many watched this and thought a dimensional gateway was about to open?
By the way, that constant e is one of those fishy things that makes one go all “twilight-zoney” and start wondering what’s really at the base of this universe.

Yep. It rips open a truth about how the world works. That one simple number explains so much. The Identity though. I mean…how? Math comes as close to anything in making me reassess my non-belief in God.
