I always thought the bf109 could fly inverted?

Looks like a rather close call regarding ground looping.

Is there not some sort of oil arrestor system? Surely? Maybe I am overthinking this though!

But really I am glad they kept it simple. As beat up as these planes get, the less moving parts, the better. Plus, Frank Christen is a genius so I defer to him.

Haha, the mechanic in me disagree’s though… It just doesn’t ring sensible… Besides a proper flush and change couldn’t hurt every once in a while right?!
