Thanks for the replies guys. The sim starts and my VPC throttle works, but the pitch and roll are DOA. Puzzling, since the setup sees them fine. It’s like my pilot is afraid of the mighty Lead Sled 
@Maico will try the curves thingy. Otherwise, I have a sledgehammer in the garage.

Programing my Throttle Radar Cursor to Menu Up, Dn, Lt and Rt and Cursor Press to Accept/Enter. This has been a big help when using the Comms and the Multimenu. Multimenu is the one where you can raise gear, turn on lights, ect. I know, we dont have clickable pits, but the multimenu is not half bad and I am learning it. Takes a bit, but what else will I do with my time? 
I have most things on my HOTAS but sometimes its good to use MMenu if just to check if something is on or off.
I opened up a new layer of satisfaction last night. On the mission editor I created a quick ground attack. The aircraft i thougt would get the least of my attention is gettting a lot of love lately. The ugly duckling F-84 is fast, carries more ordenance than a train and is manuverable as hell.
I navigated up at 9k feet towards my target using the rivers and cities as markers. I rolled in and dropped my 500 pounders and then rolled in again with rockets. So much fun using the hills as cover and sneaking in on the convoy. Lastly, I did a few gun runs till my ammo was dry. Egress, find my way back and landed at Kimpo.
I ran this mission 3 times and I was exhausted with a big grin on my face. On one mission I hit a telephone pole and half my wing was gone. I was able to control my aircraft and was confident I could at least leave indian country but it was not to be. But good damage modeling.

I had a ball again last night with IL2K. During an attack on the convoy I accidentally fragged myself with 500 pounders. The F-84 tilted towards the ground and shed half the right wing. Then something cool happened. The pit started to fill with black nasty looking smoke. The effect was impressive. I thought I would chocke and had to convince myself to breathe normally. I should have opened the canopy to see the effect but did not think about it at the time. I got rid of everything including the drop tank still on the other wing. I made it to a field but upon contact with the ground I exploded into a million pieces. The rest of the night I spent flying the mission over again, putting down bombs, rockets and 50 cal on the trucks. Ground attack is challenging. Gotta stay away from them Telephone Poles!
I am getting used to the Multi Menu thingie. I also created a custom HUD as per the video above. No junk and only the necessary stuff.

It finally cooled down enough for me to put the headset on and give the full release a throw… went well-ish
Got good fps using the quest3 (with cable) 30-40 near ground and takeoff 70-80 up high back to 30-40 in combat
Now the bad, don’t know if it’s me (probably is) but in the f86 combat mission bomber escort, I could not get near a mig, even trying to dive on an unsuspecting one shooting at a wingman,
Probably being used to the f variant we have in dcs didn’t help, but the f86 -a is not as sprightly as the mig
But it does look very nice

Good to hear that you finnally had a go. My best Quest experience has been on Virtual Desktop using the PRISM XR VR Streaming Air Link.

I havent done much with the Sabre. However, I will say this, most of the Reds have the upper hand. The La is dominant, the Yak is good. The Mustang is at a disadvatage here. Being how the 'Stang in game is of the long range escort/fighter bomber variety, its heavy and at low alt its pretty much prey to the La, Yak and MiG. These boys are pure fighters and I beleive only the MiG can carry two bombs.
At the moment I have an infatuation with the Ugly Duckling. The ThunderJet (even the name sounds cheezy) has long legs, a big payload and six 50s.

Just back from Virginia. Maybe this weekend. Btw @Maico it’s nice to see one of us with this level of enthusiasm with a sim. Ten years ago we were all younger and new things were hitting us with greater frequency. Lately, as sims have gotten more sophisticated and the development timeline has gone up 10x, new stuff is rare. You’ve really dived in.

I already had Virtual Streamer App. It was 5 minutes worth of work. I only had to switch to beta in the headset then it worked. The Black Thrusday hits 100fps. I have not tried to hit 120 but I think that would be too greedy.

Got my AB9 working. Now sorting out the rest of the assignments. Nice that they’ve added shift functionality, something that the Microsoft FS series could benefit from.

Yeah! I do enjoy having them mod buttons. I got two on my throttle and one one the stick. Hope to see u in the air soon.
Had me a ball on combat box korea. With the cable it looks incredible. I was protesting needing a cable and not using batteries.. its kind of a pain. But at 500bits instead of 100… its Amazing.
By the way, The Hunters is a Korean war movie. Pretty good if you like old movies.
