Hey y’all!
Does anyone here happen to fly in a club that has an L-13?
I am trying to find information about its artificial horizon, the LUN 1202 and so far I have not been able to find a copy of the technical manual. Should be around page 88.

They are now very rare in the states after the grounding and expensive AD to get them legal to fly again. I’ll ask if our club still has any manuals from the old ship.
Try this. There’s a section on the LUN 1202 https://www.gliding.inbundy.com.au/images/images/docs/Blanik-Manual.pdf
Thank you, but I already found several versions of the pilot’s manual and while it describes how the instrument is used, it doesn’t describe the technical details (such as its connector’s pinout).
That would be awesome!
“When ACA first got a Blanik L-13 it had an artificial horizon installed. Instrument training and cloud flying is approved in some countries. I guess it would be considered “partial panel”?
The club immediately removed this instrument so as not to give anybody any ideas, as “blind” flying gliders is not legal in the USA.
My recollection is that Blanik used the Brand “LUN” for this instrument, made in Czech Republic.
I’m not sure if there is more than one model but I did find a manual here:

It looks to me that since this is a gyro/electric instrument, that you only need power and ground…probably a switch and a fuse. It is made for 12 volts (nominal). It also has back lighting so probably another wire for that…

Thank you!
Sadly that’s a LUN 1241, it is different.
The only thing that I know about the LUN 1202 is that it apparently has four or five pins, and somewhere I read that it works with 36 volts.
There were adapters to make it work with lower voltage.
But which pin does what? I have no clue.
Maybe the wiring diagram for a power supply rated for the LUN1202 might help?

That could be it! Thanks a lot!
