Engine seems to be going strong at the end. VRS?

From what I read it was experiencing problems before and was not ‘intentionally’ attempting to land. I think that it might be an auto-rotation event where the pilot just could not make it to dry land but was trying to get as close as possible.

Oh wow, that was intense. I just stood up and getting ready to get those people out of there, before I realized where I was. :weary:

That has to be VRS right? It looked like it practically fell out of the sky in the last seconds…

My theory: It crashed because it is a helicopter. It is what helicopters do.

Only when they run out of magic!

I read some where else - they had rotor shaft failure during landing since you can hear RPM increase and blades are not “digging in” after touchdown.
