Cool video from a pilot on what he likes about the 80
One of the things I always liked about the MD-80…or thought was cool…was the power back from the gate they used to do at Dallas Fort Worth. I go out to DFW every year for the past 18 years for training…and rode on many American MD-80s on that trip. They stopped doing powered back-outs about ten years ago probably…due to noise, pollution, and probably other reasons…now they push-tug them out. But it was always need seeing them do it…
