Yes, sorry.
No problem, it’s a group effort. I couldn’t find any of this stuff without @fearlessfrog 's most helpful utility.

Excellent!
PMDG is about to drop a revised B738 with some interesting new features. Emmanuel (PMDG tech advisor and RL airline pilot) delivers an excellent reveal, likely one of many debuting today. I love watching you pros work. Probably a trivial thing to most, but I really enjoyed watching him enter his taxi clearance into his CDU’s scratchpad, something I had never seen before. Please pardon my geeking out on this new find
. I’ve linked the video to the point that he requests taxi clearance, so hit the rewind to the beginning to see the new features. I don’t own the 800 and will unfortunately have to wait a little while for the 600 and 900 to get the updates. ![]()
Condensed version covering just the updates.
The scratchpad thing is nearly universal. It has the added benefit of allowing the other crewmember confirm or correct what the respondent thought he/she heard. The new generation also “scratchpad” frequency changes. That earns a snicker from us old types. If you can’t hold a frequency in your head, you might need to reassess your career choice.
New EASA directive makes every frequency 8,33 compatible. Norway added ,005 to a bunch of frequencies, because of this, and it hurts my head! ![]()
When I started flying to Europe, the 8.33 separation took a flight or two to grasp. The guys doing the scratchpad thing are so busy doing the scratchpad thing that they screw up more important duties, like confirming the clearance that was included with the frequency change.
Ha, ha! Good to know guys. I guess that in a way, radios have their own scratchpad with the standby frequency slot. V1 Sims haas a good video too, that reveals he is moving from AB to Boeing and has been attending 737 school. DutchPilotGirl says that she is going to the A321.
All of this RL experience is really appreciated by us sim pilots.
