Released…
I loved the REX addons for FSX.
Kinda latw in the MSFS 2020 program to be releasing, wonder if it will work with 2024.
They say it will
iFly MAX8 appears to be getting close to releasing, several streamers have early access and have been uploading content.
There’s plenty more on YouTube but FD2S is certainly one of the more credible ones.
Oh yesssssss
So… I got annoyed at starting FSLTL with the sim via Add-on linker and went searching for other solutions.
Came across this, and it only required some fiddling with tha’ EXE.
Eventually I ended up with this:

Maybe somebody will find this useful!
Saw this pop up on FSTO: https://flightsim.to/file/84997/fokker-f27-mk500
Nice! Hope they will make a Mk.050!
And did just that.
Captain Sim is running their annual 24hrs sale “everything for $9.99” (including the livery packs that normally sell for $4.99
).
The C-130E sits already in my hangar and I will test it tomorrow. At this price tag there’s probably not much to complain about.
In all fairness, with the releases of the E and J variants (all sharing the same cockpit, though) they priced it down to $14.99 already.
I’ve been doing a bunch of helo touring lately. I had picked up the Bell-47J and found it to be a great little bird for touring, with excellent visibility and good handling. I was debating picking up the Flyinside Bell-47G, when I saw that there was a sale in the MSFS market place. Well the Bell-47G had no discount, but the Nemeth Desings UH-12 was only $9.99.
I’ve got a bit more than an hour in it, but so far so good. It has an automatic RPM governor, and doesn’t seem to have a way to disable it. Which considering I don’t have a twist grip collective to bind it to, isn’t a big deal. If you do, be aware. The flight dynamics feel reasonable, and the visual modeling is solid. Systems depth is on par with the stock offerings.
External model is good, a few oddities like the pilots hand on the stick in this shot.
One interesting thing about the real UH-12/OH-23, was the pilot sat centered up on the instrument panel. Modern day it appears about a 50/50 split on where people sit when flying solo.
Here’s the view from the center seat, which you have to move yourself too. It’s not a default view.
And a few miscellaneous shots, if anyone wants to take a guess where I’m site seeing.
Also very cool video of an earlier version used for medevac during France’s time in Vietnam.
According to the Flight Replicas’ FB post, their FSX/P3D versions of DC-4 and B-24 should be available soon on fs.to for free. These will be port-overs done by 3rd parties.

As of now, these birds are not yet available and there is some speculation as for the functionality (apparently the cockpit will no be clickable) and compatibility (Flight Replicas claims that the port over will not work in MSFS 2024).
In any case, we should be able to test them soon.

Xtreme Prototypes released their Learjet 25
I can imagine that someone familiar with the Learjet 35 would immediately feel right at home in this cockpit ![]()
Just as a reminder: Just Flight is working on a Learjet 45.
