MSFS Screenshots [2025]

The dragon is actually great fun!

These shots are from Austrian alps.

It can also spit fire (key binding “anti-ice”) so next time I can go and terrorise Innsbruck.

Playing around in the Typhoon doing a spot of AAR with a Victor somewhere over the North Sea.

I recently picked up the COWS DA42 and I have to say I really like it. It doesn’t have some of the fancy features we have come to almost expect (like a tablet EFB), but the sounds are great, the flight model really feels well done and the 3D modeling is excellent. It’s on sale in the Marketplace along with it’s DA40 sibling, which I am considering picking up to compliment this one.

The Diamonds have such weird proportions.
I don’t know how to describe it properly, maybe it is the thin tail and wings.
They look fragile to me.

Nice pictures though! I have to play MSFS again…

They are strange looking, especially the 42. Almost bat like.

I picked up the Top Mach B2 Spirit in the recent marketplace sale. Had some fun doing AAR with the Airshow Assistant plugin. Not the finest screenshot, it was taken while in VR.

Early in its release I picked up a few bad vibes about Miltech’s MH-60. I knew they’d correct any issues eventually because they are a dev I’ve learned to trust (I have the MV-22 and CH-46 plus some naval assets). Recent updates seem to have silenced the complainers and I finally felt ready to give it a go. Very nicely done. It’s not flawless. Switchology is sometimes more form than function. (I’m talkin’ to you, APU Bleed) But it’s a solid 8.5/10. I play on an xbox where miltech’s new Mission Generator is not yet available. It sounds like a big new asset for MSFS and, to some, maybe preferable to the MSFS2025 Career. It’s also “platform agnostic” so you don’t have to use Miltech’s assets to play it. Anyway, that’s just me spewing what I’ve read. So while I can’t do much with the MH-60, it does come with four small bases (CG San Diego, Gibraltar, Kodiak and Perth). It also has sling-loading, FLIR, Helfires, Sonobuoys, flares and a bambi bucket; none of which have I learned to use.

The MilTech/MilViz Skyraider dropped today! So far I like it a lot for a day one release. The flight model seems good in some respects, but a little quirky in others. For the asking price of $25 I think it is well worth picking up.

She’s a beaut. Interestingly, I can’t get myself to fly military aircraft in MSFS. It just doesn’t feel right. This from the guy who just flies around in DCS, taking in the scenery.

The way I rationalize it is that the vast majority of military flights do not involve expending munitions. Also, for warbirds there is the whole Airshow aspect. You can’t fly just anywhere in DCS… and also, there are a lot of military aircraft that are not available to us in DCS that I would still like to fly. What we need is a modern Microsoft Combat Flight Simulator.

I’d love to have the Sandy in DCS, this is certainly tempting. Was already debating the Hawk, with it being on sale, and the T-33 which I’ve had my eye on for a while.

Great idea. I believe MS’s last combat simulator was version 3. They closed Aces Studios because they didn’t think combat flight sims were profitable enough, compared to the MSFS series. The CFS series was decent, imho. MS seems to be all about profit, so I doubt we’ll ever see another CFS.

I totally understand and have similar feeling about that.

With the exception of military cargo. Where else to fly over the Hump or the Berlin Airlift if not in MSFS?

nice features there for the Skyraider . I really like it when you can misuse her  ( I mean ac addons in general , not just her  )

Engine, Failures and Special Effects:

  • Fully simulated two-stage supercharger (Low/High Blower), requiring proper management of blower shifts to maintain manifold pressure and avoid engine stress.
  • Optional “Engine Failure System” simulates realistic mechanical failures based on engine misuse, including overheating, overboost, fuel starvation, and prop strikes; once failure occurs, the engine cannot be restarted.
  • Realistic vibrations, rattles and a few “Vietnam-inspired Easter-eggs” around the cockpit.

it depends … I mean what are the most powerful single engine piston aircrafts ? definitely warbirds . do they still fly today in civi world ? yes they do .

I think that could be a really good reason to own them in civi sim .

especially if they are simulated the way they can be misused . cause then you have the opportunity to experience how complicated it could be to operate them IRL .

my recent flight didnt end well for this Spit . fortunately the engine gave up its ghost above the destination airport …

Attention, this is your captain speaking :

I’ve got good news and bad news … the good news is we’ll be landing immediately … the bad news is we’re crash landing !

So it’s been about a week, what do you think of the Sandy @PaulRix? Went looking on youtube and it’s got some videos out, but not a lot of serious reviews. Surprised MilTech doesn’t at least have a hype video for it.
