That was my plan when I ordered them too. Seeing as I already got the 933s, I didn’t even consider using the onboard headphones.
But as the surround works a bit differently in VR, and putting two things on your noggin turned out to be somewhat of a hazzle, I decided to go with the Rift headphones anyway. They fit me very well, and sound is very good, for such small speakers.
That said, I hope next generation VR has better quality headphones, with over ear cups…
