Neptunus Lex - Rhythms

With all the recent conversations about carrier operations, I remembered this and though it might be a helpful resource for folks.

Many years ago, a Naval aviator named Carroll Lefon started a blog about his experiences called Neptunus Lex. It was great reading, but unfortunately was shut down shortly after he was killed in a crash during a training flight in 2012. A large part of his blog has been preserved here:

Anyway, my reason for bringing this up is a series of entries he did titled Rhythms, about a typical day aboard a carrier deployed in the Gulf. It’s told mostly from the point of view of the air wing personnel, but there are bits of other details of life at sea sprinkled in there as well.
