It says that it is a “DisplayPort” update. Is that the same?

It’s titulated a firmware update for compatibility with DisplayPort 1.4. Are there any benchmarks that actually measure a performance increase? People reporting better performance could just as well be placebo.

I am not aware of any benchmarks,I agree it could only be a placebo effect,There was a thread on The DCS forums but I can’t find it now,If I do I will post it.
edit found the thread,It’s worth a look,I feel it gave me a smoother experience in the game.

Using a 3 year old 980GTX, I’ve been debating whether or not to try this firmware update. Would like to know if anyone using a 9xx series has tried it.
yes, i did it earlier on my 980ti, went fine

OK, just did it and went through no problems. Followed the procedure and it’s all good. Will give it a test later to see if any performance improvements show up.

I had a slight performance boost with my 970.
Didn’t notice any change with my 980GTX, but doesn’t mean there isn’t one. Average FPS is about ~40.
