@katana1000s: Sorry I didn’t notice you were asking me a question, so here is the answer:
No, I haven’t tried the OR DK2, it is just that people who have tried it really disliked that they weren’t able to read the HUD and other instruments in the A-10C cockpit, and they were not able to see other planes in the sky. Flying civil planes would probably fine.
For me the OR might not be right because sometimes I have problems with motion sickness as well (I would try it anyway, but not for that price), and because I spent hundreds of euros on touchscreens that I cannot see when using the OR.
Oh, and I don’t have suitable input devices. How am I supposed to use my keyboard?
About motion sickness, main factors contributing to it:
So actually a flight sim might be less severe than a FPS or a racing game if played with a decent framerate. And then helis probably would be worse than planes.
Fun fact: When I got my TrackIR I had motion sickness as well while flying the Black Shark (before DCSW). But I got used to it after two weeks or so. Drank lots of ginger ale and ginger tea during that time, it helps. I also limited my play time, either stopping when headaches began or after 30 minutes, slowly increasing the time until I could play for hours.
I still get motion sick while playing Half Life 2 for more than an hour or so though.
