Oh yeah, msfs2020 has no vr yet. I submitted a pre-order form anyway. Gonna take a while, like all other flight sim equipment
You sir, will not regret buying a pointCTRL, or I will eat a P-51 named Old Crow.
Arise, ye dead horse thread, that I may kick ye some more!
I have been on hiatus from VR for a while, due to a failed HP reverb G2 cable. The thing works again, and I felt like putting this baby back into action. It took some doing, mainly finding a port that works. However, once I found one, setup was easier than I remembered.
MilesD, the creator of PointCTRL has made a very sweet bit of setup software that walks you through initial setup and calibration. It works deliciously! I am now pointing at things that exist only in VR like a boss! more accurate than ever before!
I had forgotton how good this is. People talk about having haptic feedback and how much it increases immersion, well so does this. And it makes far less noise ![]()
I fully plan on getting some sort of haptic feedback going in my home pit next ![]()
Nice! It’s on my list for sure.
sorry to revive this old thread. I am trying to bring to back to life of my PointCtrl. Managed to update the firmware to 2.6b, and the device seem to work, but only for maybe 15 seconds or so. Then it just stops. It’s still connected and very much alive in Windows. It just does not take input.
Still trying to resolve it. But for folks who does not use it, how do you manage cockpit input? I can’t really get used to using mouse again.
found this thread in DCS forum. pressing buttons in VR - Virtual Reality - ED Forums
people are creative. still, I feel PointCtrl is the better way to go…
