Brave indeed. Sorry that it didn’t have a happier ending.
A good friend of mine told me casually one day that his dad flew AH-1 Cobras in Vietnam. When I wanted to know more was told the usual, “He doesn’t talk about it much.” But as I dug deeper, it turns out that there was quite a story to tell.
