I just found this via a post on the ED forum.
I almost died from an overdose of nostalgia.
My sister bought me this on VHS pirated copy, along with the movie Top Gun, when she was a UNIFIL nurse in Lebanon, back in 88-89. I haven’t watched it in over 20 years, but I still know most of the lines. I don’t know how many times I’ve seen this tape, but it must have been many…

Nice. I’ve subscribed, the guy has a number of the vintage docos that I enjoy.
Chuck Henry still does the local news and has since he did that project but it was still weird seeing him thirty five years younger.

I met Duke Cunningham (interview starts at 8:40) at MCAS Miramar once. He was a congressman at the time, interviewing academy appointment candidates. I was in uniform so I introduced myself and my wife. He stopped, shook my hand and my wife’s hand, then said that he he owed his success to his intel officer…OK, I made that last part up. But I did shake his hand and we exchanged some nice words…it was really cool.
…and a couple of years later he went to prison. Bummer.
Guess it’s a good thing he didn’t say he owed everything he did past, present and future to one.
