Pretty cool. I love the new features.
One thing I don’t see specifically mentioned is additional things to ‘do’ in the game.
I find myself wishing for a little bit more in the way of random events to break the monotony up a little bit. As it stands, it’s patrol…patrol…patrol…refit…patrol…patrol…patrol some more. Is definitely realistic, but it could use some things to spice it up; maybe a merchant resists boarding, for instance, giving me a reason to make sure my boarding party is armed. Or perhaps more interpersonal dynamics that create situations beyond ‘this man is panicking!’
It’s a fun game. Glad to see it’s getting an update
TBH. I have not played much since Winter…It’s perfect to play on my laptop while The Wife is watching "House Wife’s of something something" I just put in my headphones and nod a lot
This is great! I actually just started replaying this game last week and have been enjoying it again. These updates will only improve what is already a really fun game.
Just picked this up after its out of beta release and while its 70% off. Early days but it looks good and seems quite comprehensive. Well worth the sub £8 asking price.
Giggle
And I wasn’t even trying
I just added this to my wish list in Steam yesterday. It looks quite impressive to me from the videos and screenshots I’ve seen. I haven’t played a sub sim since Silent Hunter 4.
I like it but have put it aside for a while as for me it isn’t responding to my commands to rise to the surface or other depths which is making it a bit frustrating.
Use the pictoral menu depth is on right I think, but I have only used it once
So reinstalled this one, I’ve been meaning to get back to it as I got it right at EA release. So far I like what they done, it looks great, I love there are “choose your own adventure” type elements regarding stopping and searching merchants, etc. HOWEVER, I’ve had 2 showstopper issues in the tutorial missions, which doesn’t bode well. I’m going to give it some more time, but it doesn’t instill confidence.
I did all of the tutorials and then started my first career mission but then found myself quickly losing interest so I uninstalled. I can’t quite place my finger on it but it just failed to grab me. I played the heck out of Silent Hunter 4 and Aces of the Deep so the issue is not the genre.
Well I just put in a solid 7 hours (the joys of being off when you work nights), and didn’t run into any issues that I myself didn’t cause. I do wish the time compression was a little better about stopping before things go pear shaped, but beyond that I’m definitely motivated to keep playing.
