There is currently no plan or timetable to remove the historic flying boat from the sand bar it’s resting on.
Sad, indeed. Those planes are icons of the Pacific War, kind of a shame that this one will just be left to get washed away.
…and…it’s pretty much destroyed… Hard to believe this was such a long salvage process that got totally screwed up. Really just sad all around…
