Yes, there is a dual shift reg. board.
In fact, it’s this one by Debolestis.

How much filament is that, roughly? Might need to get some more I think.
Also how did you fix the safety snapping off, or is that not an issue with the printed part?
I need to check.
It seems to be holding up pretty good…
Printing it laying on its side helps.
Dude, do you know how hard tiki print trays are to find in the US? Can we substitute in say a plain black tray?
That tray was actually designed by an artist and was used at the enlisted and officers messes in the Swedish Armed Forces.
That’s a great looking set!
If I may ask: would it be possible to add the two light green parts to the hardware section? Black filament isn’t a problem, but buying light green filament for only two small parts is a bit… inefficiënt.
I have thought about that.
First, the two lightgreen parts you see are just tools to help mount the threaded insert into the trim hat, to ensure perfect 90° angle, so these parts can be any color.
But there is a small green center dot that goes on the trimhat itself. You can barely see it in the lower right corner. I will offer a detail print set of the pushbuttons, trimhat and the green center dot as all of these benefit from being printed with a 0,2mm nozzle and 0,06mm layer height, and that can be a challenge for a lot of users. You don’t have to print them 0,2/0,06, but they look better like that, and it’s easy enough for me to print them.
I am very impressed by the product and by the amount of thought you’re giving the manufacturing.
I feel like this is what we were promised with home manufacturing such as the 3D printers and cheap(er) machine tools… of course in reality it’s just a bunch of STLs behind paywalls with basic printing instructions and a “good luck”… but great job Troll!
Not to diminish Trolls achievement in any way, but to be fair, in addition to what you describe there is also a lot of very good 3d printed simpit stuff out there.
Authentikit and OpenHornet comes to mind, both are free and have great instructions as well as Discord comnunities.
And they inspired me to do this stick grip in much the same way that they do too.
Setting up a discord server and working on the instructions as we speak
You are both correct, but you still need a craftsman or an artisan to get the best out of the tool. I know this because I am a hack who can use a lathe & a welder and scratch build (on a good day) things that are functional , but not pretty and definitely not up to the standard that people will gladly pay money for.
Wasn’t familiar with OpenHornet - thanks I’ll take a look - but yeah, Authentikit would be probably the one I’d be putting forward as a gold standard (though I haven’t personally put together any of their controls)
Authentikit is very good for being easy to get into and getting stuff done.
OpenHornet is something else, it’s a huge project of sheer engineering insanity.
Hi! did you delete your yt channel? and where will you post when its done
I did. Youtube, in their infinite wisdom, accused me of hate speech. Not going to support that platform anymore.
I moved to Vimeo.
Here, DCS forum and Vimeo. There will also be a Discord server to handle support.
Release date is 25. November.
Funniest FART joke I have heard in ages.
Thats crazy But thank you for the answear
