While a sim is a great idea, a drone such as the Phantom is rediculously easy to fly. If you start to feel you are losing control or orientation then simply let go of the sticks. It will then just hover in place. It is nothing like flying an RC helicopter.

Real Flight is great. I’ve got the non drone version, but the drone flight models in the version that I have are spot on. Especially for the LOS type of flying that you will be doing. Good choice.
