Not enough asterisks for any foul definition I can fathom for CIWS but Chief would fit. All the other abbreviations I found were fairly benign too.

CIWS - “Captain, It Won’t Shoot.”
CIWS - “Chief, It Won’t Shoot.”
CIWS - “Captain, It Works Sometimes”
CIWS - “Casrep It? We’re Screwed.”

Can I point out that this doesn’t seem to work on mobile (I am using Samsung Internet on Android) - I just get a dotted line under the abbreviation but cannot hover or click to see the hidden explanation.
