DCS: Tanker
DCS: AC-130
DCS: AWACS

That’s where the money is in big-crew ops!

Stop…please. I’m trying to work here. If a functioning tanker comes out of any variety I’m not gonna shut up.

I have been saying it for years but an S-3 or a kc-130 would be absolutely perfect for Dcs. Perfect

We used to fly them in an online dynamic campaign with a couple of manned I16s off the wings. Happy days :grinning:

Bleh, hotfix yesterday didn’t fix hornet Tpod. Couldn’t get the darned thing to stay on target again.

Haven’t seen this mentioned but the Hornet gun sound is improved. Hadn’t gunned anything in a while so missed the mention.

It’s not Brrrrruruppppttt. More like Brrruppt. Sounds much better though. Been bingeing VFA cruise videos and was thinking how the gun doesn’t sound as ‘sexy’ in DCS. No more.

My Win 10 install has been stuck in 1903 FOREVER. Today I got sick of it. I think I will be updted by tonight. I hope there are some cool fixes for VR with my O+

Ya 1903 was pretty meh.
Lots of annoyances on initial setup.
1909 was good, no issues with 2004, and the latest 20H2 (2009) has also been good generally speaking and for my system with DCS (2D).

My machine will not update no matter what I do. I may have to take the plunge this weekend and wipe it. I do not look forward to a reinstall.

Use the Windows Update Assistant:

That will skip over Windows Update itself and go right to 20H2.

You Rock Sir. I will let you know if it works 15 minutes after I get home. Fingers crossed.

Im trying it out now…

Be patient as it can take a while and may go through a couple “download” and “installing” phases. I have been surprised to see “downloading 100%” and come back later to “downloading 23%”.

If it succeeds, you will have some cumulative updates for 20H2 to do as well.

It failed. Im trying again…

If your Windows install is on an NVMe drive, or even a SSD - open a command prompt (admin mode) and run:

sfc /scannow

The SystemFileChecker can sometimes cleanup some of the problems. If it reports errors it did fix, reboot and run it again until you get “no integrity violations found”. Then try the updates. (Even a new out of box laptop will get some errors found by SFC, so don’t panic over it).

*I say if on SSD because it doesn’t take too long under an SSD to scan the whole windows install. HDD’s may be an overnight affair, potentially. SSD can be under 10 minutes.

Also, if you get any error codes on the update assistant or Windows update post them here and I’ll see what I can do.

I’ve noticed quite bad performance on the Normandy map…
So far I tried it with the new P47 D, deleted the shaders and all.
But it seems to be pretty bad, no other aircraft involved either…
