I tried using the Pucara on those strips and it stuck to the ground pretty tough. Didnt want to gather speed or lift as fast as needed.
I hope the Harrier pulls through. The Mustang worked pretty well on Orote and one of the runways on Tinian.
Love the JGSDF UH-1J livery so I had to add that one to my collection. My Liveries folder is at 50 GB now… ![]()
Getting the FNG up to speed in his A-10C Warthog

Let him take the lead for the flight home and landing:
There’s a bit of a crosswind at Rota Intl
One day I’ll have my DCS to look that good.

Marianas “bush” flying.
Buzzing North Field Runway Able
Buzzing Runway Baker

Baker had the most clearance so I touched down there
Cruising with the top down so I could taste the clouds

Something ain’t right with the terrain. Of the many times I’ve tipped the Spit’s wings, I’ve never been thrown onto the opposite wing after the first impact, then tipped over. I’ll need to test again with the Jug’s wider gear to see if that makes a difference.
I tried a landing like that in the mustang last night and got thrown around the same way.

Now there is no more screens until we were down on the carrier because CASE I in the Tomcat is hard work
Launching from Cat I and Cat III to fly another CASE I
I love exploring and discovering the little easter eggs on maps:
Running home to Goulet at low level, passing Falaise. Acquired some accelleration holes in the wings while engaging ground targets near Caen:
Modern carrier ops thanks to some mods. I converted the Chiller Juice superbug mod to AI only so I can use it with the legacy hornet.
I think the phrase “some mods” should win the Mudspike Understatement Award of the month.
That second screenshot is now my new wallpaper. Beautiful pic.
Gorgeous shots…now, I’m not an experienced sailor but shouldn’t those sails on those sailboats be down given the boats are moored? Looks wrong!
