The lack of citations and the over confidence sort of makes it perfect for forums.
Next up @Chuck_Owl posts something that contradicts it and then it claims it never said it and to stop attacking it.

Hi @Johnny ,
As a human forum member and subscriber to Chuckâs Patreon (I pay an entire euro a month for that, but then again I am pretty well off ), I can confirm he is working on the Mirage F1 guide!
I donât remember if he mentioned the MB-339 but I can recommend to anyone here to subscribe to his Patreon. The guides alone provide value but getting updates is super nice as well
I got the bank statement today and regarding that MB339 purchase, well it wasnât as bad as I thought - the extra charge doesnât even take it up to as much as I thought Iâd be paying according to the Google currency converter tool. And that is the problem really, not knowing what the price actually is.
btw the Google currency converter put it around ÂŁ53 at the time.
Wouldnât it be easier if we could just say .000000003 BTC like the dreamers wanted??
The pilot model looks like Robin Olds to me: Brig. Gen. Robin Olds: Combat Leader and Fighter Ace > National Museum of the United States Air Force⢠> Display (af.mil)
I agree it definitely looks like him on my mobile.

DCS: UH-1H is undergoing an engine model update, and we are thrilled to share our progress. We are working on a more realistic simulation of the helicopterâs engine that provides more precise control over the engineâs characteristics. Check the details below!

New engine modelling methods have been in progress during development of the Mi-24P and AH-64D modules. The new UH-1H engine model was in many ways a test bed for the methods we then used in the AH-64D engines model. Weâve been gathering feedback about DCS: UH-1H over the years, and thanks to our forum users; Piston85, Ramsay and others, we have pinpointed changes to make for new engine model development. We are now finishing the deployment of the new engine model to UH-1H and are eager to let you try it. Please make sure to give us your feedback.
The new model represents fine tuning to address the following:
This image shows that we are now accurately modelling auto-rotation situation readings on the tachometer. The real aircraft dial is on the left and the DCS: UH-1H Huey dial on the right.
We highly encourage all campaign creators to gear up and prepare your missions in anticipation of the new Normandy! Reflected Simulations has been pouring passion into updating their Normandy campaigns: DCS: P-51D The Blue Nosed Bastards of Bodney, DCS: Spitfire IX The Big Show and DCS: Bf 109 K-4 Jagdflieger. Brace yourselves for visually stunning and exhilarating missions that exploit the full potential of the new DCS: Normandy theatre. Please read the Normandy 2 FAQ to get all the insider information.
Thank you again for your passion and support,
Yours sincerely,
Eagle Dynamics
Very interested in the UH-1H engine rework!
But those Mosquito skins, wow⌠Beautiful weathering. Congratulations to our @HomeFries, a well-deserved win!
So do we think that Normandy 2 may be next week
Cool Reflected is updating the campaigns, was waiting to start the blue nosed bastards in hopes he would.
Wonder if they are going to encourage themselves to update the Epsom/Charnwood campaigns? They were pretty good, would be nice to revisit them on Normandy 2.
I think Weâre going to see a Few Goodies in this next patch
The way MagicZach paints the invasion stripes is simply amazing. MJDixon does it the same way and it looks really good. @NightOwl did the same for his P-47 skins. Top notch work
The Project Overlord mission dev team is constantly playing DCS according to Discord but none of them are flying. Suspicious
Didnât they make a lot of noise about WWII and foot stomping and whining?
Nah, that was mostly SoW. AFAIK the 4YA PO team is on pretty good terms with ED. Some of them are ED Testers
Ooh ok my bad
Does anyone else find the MB-339 well underpowered?
Yesterday I went for a practise spin - started with the start-up tutorial mission then continued for a quick circuit, but on approach at just over 200Kts I put the boards out. I hadnât checked the proper approach and gear/flap speeds, but I wanted to get it closer to 150 than 200 to drop the cart.
When I put the boards out it made hardly any difference at all. I could hear the extra wind noise, but couldnât actually see the brakes out (maybe wrong angle - I was unable to move my view for some reason) and I only dropped to 195 and that was it, with zero throttle and only 5° nose down.
I waited as long as I dared, but in the end decided to go around, so I retracted the airbrakes, pushed up the throttle (speed increase to 220Kts) and made a left turn at about 30° bank angle and the thing just nose dived. I exited a few metres from augering in.
Surely I donât need to be that fast with this jet? Yes, I will go and look at the manual for the speeds, power required etc, but this was just a quick âplayâ session to have a go and see and I was shocked. This is a very rare occurrence for me, as in I canât remember it happening to me before.
edit: Just seen this in the manual, so no clues there:
Mind you - I donât know how heavy the plane was - if all the external tanks were full, it probably just stalled.
