DCS 2.9

If they are going to do another helo I would prefer a Seahawk, Sea King or Helix. The US choppers could operate from the existing carrier(s) but we would need a platform for a Helix. IIRC there are already subs in the game?

My money is on a Cobra… Maybe an early one to fit with the Vietnam map and the Huey’s

So is mine, but to be fair I’d like anything else. Sikorsky above all.

Cobra would make sense. And seeing ED’s predilection towards glass cockpits, I’d say a whiskey cobra is most likely. Too bad. I’d prefer something earlier. Same with the 'chook and Blackhawk, rather have those with steam gauge pits.

Any of these is a dream come true…

Other CH-53 variants just as welcome

Happy to give up an engine to gain an awesome sensors suite for example:

Or just for the “made in Germany” label:

The British version of the Sea King as well of course

This one goes well with the Mi-24P ^

Like @Harry_Bumcrack I love ASW in Dangerous Waters but in the current DCS environment, I’d enjoy myself more with an MH-60 if I had to choose one from the Blackhawk family

OMFG

You know it, man- you know it.

I agree, and I share the frustration. We’ve got our digital Kiowa to play friends with the Apache - we need an earlier Cobra to play friends with our Phantoms!

Or… maybemaybe maybe. Let me put on my tin foil hat…

A couple days ago we heard the llittle bird people are on hiatus. And then ED announces a mystery chopper. Could it be…?

A Whiskey Cobra would be excellent to pair with the Tarawa for those who never bought/cared about a Harrier. I know we won’t get a Zulu, though.

On the flip side, an Mi-28 would be nice, although I’m sure it would have to be an earlier one and not a later N.

Hmm… an Mi-28 and the Apache we have!

All the old games I used to play are coming home to DCS :joy:

On the subject of helicopters, the Mi-8, Mi-24, and Black Shark have been removed from ED’s Russia e-shop “at the request of JSC Russian Helicopters.”

At the moment this only affects sales on their Russian side. At the moment.

I don’t know, a Whiskey Cobra would be great for the Iraq map.

The cockpit looks pretty old school to me…

I listened a podcast a while back (maybe the Fighter Pilot Podcast?) with a Cobra driver and it was fascinating. Compared to what we see in the Apache the Cobra would feel very old school, which honestly I think would be awesome.

Yeah the Whiskey was not a contemporary of the 64D. Maybe the 64A, but that has fewer screens than the D I recall, so not surprised if the Whiskey had none. It just fired TOWs for guided weapons, right? So you don’t need a display for that.

They also carried Hellfires. Reading Ghosts of Baghdad, I found it interesting that they would carry a mixed load of TOW and Hellfire on occasion.

Both of which are under JCS, soooo

Quick question, is there a way to render the game only on one monitor but export the MFDs on the others?

There should be.

Maybe I will just move slightly my head.
