Ok, ok… I do see the new “targets” and they are cool. What I have been holding inside is the absence and lack of communications about the Pacific assets. In particular some aerial targets for the Corsair would be nice. Else the Corsair lives in a vacuum like the I-16 does…
I just dont understand how DCS misses the most obvious things then comes out with another shiny new toy… Sorry about my negative energy this week.
You need to compartmentalize, my friend.
This video was quite literally about Cold War Assets. Now if you want more from a video that is called Cold War Assets, you set yourself up to fail. It was never going to be about everything DCS because then they wouldn’t have given the video that title.
As you can imagine, making some AI tanks and other targets is much less labour intensive than making a flyable Hellcat. The guys doing the former probably has nothing to do with the guys making the latter. Different compartments. ![]()
This.
The DCS 2022 and beyond video was released on X-mas eve 2021. Since then they have been released in January the same year they are showing.
Maybe this was the last DCS video by ED for this year. Maybe not.
Looking forward to the DCS 2026 and beyond video though. Always love to dream about new toys! ![]()
Anyone else getting horrid framerates compared to the previous version?
Since I flew last on thursday 18th, a couple things changed: Pimax updated their software a week prior and on friday Nvidia released a fresh driver. Now the updated pimax stuff ran fine, or so it seemed. The Nvidia driver more or less coincided with the .23 release of DCS.
I went from a flatline 45 FPS that was permanently FPS limited to a horrible stutterfest that is often CPU render limited. Something broke. And I can’t seem to fix it! ![]()
I had a quick flight last night in the her. And thought “ this seems have better fps than the last version, and less of the occasional stutters “ ![]()
And now that I’ve fixed it, I can’t seem to remember what exactly fixed it! Anyway, got it back to silky smooth and looking perfect.
I tuned some settings in the Pimax tool, Some with NvidiaProfileInspector and some windows settings.
He said, “…the other helicopter.”
Hmmm.
“W” Cobra?
That would be really cool, assuming that Violent Nomad’s AH-1G gets released.

So.. where’s the 2026 and beyond video? I wanna be excited ![]()

I am hoping that it might drop with tomorrows newsletter ![]()
Usually mid Jan or sooner… A lot of people are still on vacay
Some answers and explanations.
Finally got the time to finish this interview. Liked it even if it was a bit light content-wise.
What’s more important was the bit about the insights on Eagle Dynamics operations and short terma/long terms plans.
Overall a good 7/10
according to big newie over at ED it looks like the team developing the skyraider has gone dark and now lost their licence for the module
Hi,
Due to lack of communication from that team and lack of progress over several years, we decided to terminate their license agreement. If at a later point they can demonstrate the capability to complete the project and at the expected 2026 detail and quality levels, we will consider offering a new license agreement.
thank you
