You got me there:grinning: What i really meant was sale at half price or even less. I do have a hunch that i will enjoy it.
I usually break it down in my head… how many hours of flying it do I need to log to justify the purchase. My wife and I can go to a movie, buy popcorn and drinks and it can cost about $40 . So, a 2 hour movie works out at $20 per person, or $10 per hour. I figure I will get many hours of enjoyment from a DCS module over the course of several years. Funny thing is that we don’t bat an eyelid about going to the movies, or out for dinner. Of course, I would never advocate buying a DCS module instead of taking your wife/significant other out for dinner or a movie.

I used a similar method:
Game Price / Hourly Wage (Or Salary equivalent) = Minimum Game Hours for ROI. That made anything justifiable, especially as you earn more money! So I think now I’d add a x10 or more on the end…

I have promised myself I will buy Viper at whatever price is currently listed when I finish the last mission for our Time Pilot campaign. We’ve come way too far and it is way too fun to let it wither on the vine, but I am just so damn busy for work any creative endeavor at the end of the day is an awfully tall mountain to climb.
Maybe I’ll work on some tonight.

I’m getting weak at the knees. Give me functioning HARM EOM/PB/POS modes, AIM-9X+HMCS integration, CBU-97, and 13th/14th FS liveries and I’m sold too.
Just give me a basic F16 and I will fly it around sight seeing until the weapons systems are installed.
