Steam won’t be getting the sale so it’s either change
to standalone or pay in later at full price. Hmmm.
Main reason for steam is the excellent content delivery network, downloads are much faster.

Per ED Discord they are looking into Steam sale options. I’m okay without the Hornet bonus to be honest, just the pre-order would be enough for me.

Will be available at Early Access, maybe a sale.
Suggested to port to standalone.
@fearlessfrog and other VR users, are there any side effects for you guys to using or not using steam when it comes to VR? Just curious.

No SteamVR (and the Microsoft WMR for Steam) are just a free Steam delivered ‘apps’ and installs a local API that things like the ED DCS stand-alone can use for VR.
You don’t need to be using DCS on Steam for it to work.

I have no problems using DCS standalone in VR with the Rift, not sure if there would be any issues with the vive without steamVR
I’m torn…
I dont pre order…but I do have 12 bucks in miles. Plus the discount…dammit ED your not making it easy to stay on this high horse
