playing Gran Turismo 4 on android tablet, great fun, what a gem after all those years. still feels good on road / rally even though the touch-screen-controller concept isnt ideal.

Controller should just work, I played with a Bluetooth Xbox One controller on my Android phone before.
I am getting 50fps with vulkan rendering. not bad I would say, feels smooth. tested openGL but it droped to 40fps and not smooth. ppss22 emulator.
ok guys, will give the controller a go especially as I have ps(5) controller at home
