Several years ago I was working with an ME who came up with a monitor mount that used a motor to very slowly move the monitor forward and backward. I think the distance was 4 or 5 inches. The goal was to reduce eye strain by changing focus.
Did it ever make it to a study?
This was close to 20 years ago, I think there was a study done at Temple University that indicated a reduction in eye strain, but it’s been so long…
I know he had a patent on the design, but I’ve never seen a product. This certainly wouldn’t prevent one from making a DIY monitor mover.
