Oh wow that sucks! Hope the rest of the pc is OK. Reading all the watercooler failures lately, I’m quite happy to just cut my hands open on that chunk of aluminium every time I replace parts.

Mine sounded like a chassis fan was working loose. So i left it as its massive faff to get to them on my case. Then all of a sudden it went quiet when i was doing some paperwork.
Thought it must be some dust imbalancing the fan that had blown off now.
No. That was the pump destroying itself as far as i can work out. Luckily it didnt leak it just failed and overheated the CPU so it shut itself down to protect itself.
I thought the GFX card had failed when i opened it as i couldnt get any display to show on the tv but when i plugged it into a monitor it showed overheat fault and cpu fan fault on startup.
Luckily i had the original fan that came with the cpu, swapped it over and back online. Ironically, its running 5 degrees cooler with the fan at idle which is irritating.

Thanks for all the positive comments on the mission! It really helps to motivate me to do another one like this. Perhaps a little more challenge and a little less “clutter” on the playground would be nice.
There’s so much stuff in there we didn’t even do: ELINT, DEAD, Ship Strike, road base and AAR ops, and then there’s 2 surprises we didn’t trigger because of chance.
I fully understand what you mean, an 80s near-peer scenario is lots of fun too, but that will have to be a completely different scenario: this was especially set up around an expanding, militarizing EU, separate from NATO, former Eastern Bloc being on Blue (Poland and Czech with Mi-24, MiG-29 and Su-25), as well as Finland having F/A-18s and getting closer to the West (1995 is the year of both the Hornets purchase and them joining EU).
Hornets and smart bombs were a requirement from my brother for the scenario.
I had a look and the weapons were there in the ME just not in game. I think an update to the Mi-24 broke it, even re-adding them didn’t work. Now after copy-pasting it seems to have been fixed. That’s the problem with a mission with so many options: impossible to test everything and things will break.
Almost everything but Red Air was already set up with pairs as the minimum unit. I am now running through the slots again and ensuring everything is available in a pair, including Red. (with guns ammo, not sure where that came from: perhaps I copied from Viggens?).
When this and some other small improvements are done, I will upload the mission as a V2 to the User Files.

Sorry I missed it @Freak . Everyone seemed to have a good time. I am 2 hours ahead yada, yada, yada… I am looking forward to this weekend. My lady is gone…Miss Her… But I get to play LOL.
