Army has more aircraft than the air force.
Just an FYI, @Linebacker is unable to respond @Scoop.
Wheels
and again! ![]()
it didnt take long, almost one full year, and I am going back to air-cooled office.
my original plan was to stay like 2-3 years away from aviation. but ‘the Lord works in mysterious ways’.
but let the pictures talk.
my new future office EC135 (only after type rating oc)
and my future patch
… as you @BeachAV8R ![]()
That’s fantastic, @NEVO! EMS?
Bravo NEVO. That looks like interesting flying. Nice ride too ![]()
My brain is saying this is a sim screenshot due to the aliasing and the uniformity of all those traffic cones ![]()
HEMS… ![]()
Congratulations, @NEVO!

Ehm… Isn’t it?
Looking at the perfect lines on the perfect asphalt, It must be.
Really cool. I’m jealous…you might get to wear NVGs… ARMA in real life…
Brutish Army, Royal Air Force
thx guys, yep, its EMS(H) ![]()
surely the last pic is from XP11 (getting better frames than in XP12). that EC135 is freeware.
using it while studying the POH and TM.
next month I am traveling to Germany for the ground school, simulator and type rating. looking forward to it.
definitely NVGs are going to be involved (dont know if already on the sim). never had one on my head before.
Very exciting @NEVO ! Congratulations!
Awesome news @NEVO ! EMS helo drivers are heroes in my book. It may be a hard job, but saving people is about the most meaningful job a person can have. You’ll also rock at it, I am quite certain, being the cool-headed dude you are.
thx both of you.
its definitely good blend, flying and doing something pretty meaningful. not saying that other jobs are less meaningful. everything we do, what is also to the profit of others, is meaningful imo.
in fact I didnt want to jump right into it. I already had an interview for this job one year ago, before I took the sim job. but at that time I left the other heli job which didnt turn out really good so was little shy and also wanted to step back for a while.
but my former colleague, fortunately we were colleagues even before that bad outfit, left also and joined HEMS. and he provided good references.
so I agreed for a friendly talk, about whats new after the past year, with the HEMS FOM and it turned out as an interview. I eventually agreed to join ![]()
So, soon there’ll be you and @BeachAV8R here at Mudspike, two sides of some of the most meaningful and challenging flying on Earth!
