Italy at War! - Lost savegames. Game broken :(

Honestly I hope they’ll help me.
I already allowed all the Allies to pass on my land to and surround the part of Switzerland under Axis attack…

I’m not sure they’ll do anything though. Let’s say that attacking the axis brings me “up” in that Triangle of Politics- closer to the Allies and ask to be let in the “good guys” group.

You’re still alive!? I thought you’d be hanging feet first over the Piazzale Loreto by now. Keep up the good fight.

Yeah I was going to muse about your head being kicked around football-style by a bunch of morbid boys. But it seems that never happened. My grasp on history is a little weak.

Trust me I have literally zero sympathy for the Regime of the time.
It does bother me a lot to be referred as Duce but alas, it was a title- as Czar or King.

All in all I am a different person and that funbag work for me so… yeah.

Bullseye. I’m not a specialist but I’ve been told that there’s 2 things Italians don’t like to talk about, Benito and the “Family Business”.

Probably the same thing as Germans and Austrians that don’t want to be equated with being little Adolfs.

While I appreciate historical context and general knowledge this is now taking a turn I prefer it wouldn’t.
This is an un-historical Hearts of Iron AAR, let’s keep talking about that.

I certainly didn’t intend to offend. What I was trying to convey as funny was how the thread had started two years ago with a war in progress. That was followed with a year without update which could be taken to mean that the war had been lost ages ago. But then then suddenly we get an update from out of the blue. I found the timeline funny and wanted to encapsulate that with a historic reference where there was the implication of, “You’re still here? I thought you lost that war a long time ago.” Sorry @komemiute.

HAHAHAHA No worries mate- No offence taken as none was meant.
I’m just trying to keep the thread on topic, that’s all!
I’ll add this- because it’s true.

And in reality the game never progressed as Real Life took over… So in game it was like a “pause” for years.
And yeah I do feel a little bad about it.

Me retiring troops…

Not sure if they’ll make it on time. Also- they’re not really fighting troops but mostly HQ formations.
More men wouldn’t hurt anyways.

Also here… embarking troops homebound.

and the fleet.

Several hours later the fleet is safe home.

Troops from Africa are finally getting home…

So - guys is with a heavy heart that I have to report that when I tried to play last weekend I realized an update or something broke the support for old savegames.

I cannot continue the Campaign.
I tried reinstalling an old version- another- a pirated… no success.

I will consider it a lost game. :frowning:

Shame… Sorry for letting anyone down.
