Update
I’m happy about the continued development, but fear that allowing driver swaps only in Special Events is sure to cause a poop storm. Whichever sim gets this feature added first will have a big jump on the competition, IMHO.
Having said that, being the old man that I am, the Lexus is easily my favorite car in ACC and the RSS version in AC a close second. So I’m thrilled to get it in LMU. Curious as to what the new the prototype will be.
I’m looking forward to The Lambo…not to keen on The Race Control Subscription thing though
cool , but always keep an eye on cdkeys.com for good deals
what I am looking for is some eshop where I can get ’ more spare time ’ season pass
I haven’t watched the video yet, but I find it amusing that some people complain about the existing state of a racer or sim, and when a company delivers on those shortcomings or gives the people what they want, they still tend to complain.
I remember when Microprose Janes F-15 delivered the realism people were complaining about, the vocal crowd complained that the sim felt unrealistic.
Wait, was I just complaining? Oh well…
Update: I just finished watching the video, and I think the reviewer did a good job in his analysis. I like that he pointed out that he was pushing beyond the limits in the areas where he lost control. He also admitted that the new tire model is perhaps more realistic and he will have to adjust his driving. I remember having to unlearn or suspend bad habits whenever I switched from NFS to realistic racers.
So, my take on the handling change after only 45 mins in the Lexus at Imola, is that it feels very much like it did before the last major update. That is, plenty of grip once the tires have warmed, but that if you push it too hard, the arse end will come around with little chance of saving it. There is lots of grip before that happens and the GT3 cars are very raceable. I didn’t think that there was too much understeer on corner exit, like the commenter says in the video. To me, it sounded like he doesn’t drive GT3 cars often, or that he is more used to the Porsche 911 GT3 R. In fact, the ACC Lexus has more understeer than it does in LMU, IMHO. The LMU V8 sounds fantastic.
Free practice underway.
I am really happy that I bought the 2024 season pass when it was first offered.
A lot of extra content for the price and if a 2025 pass comes up I will probably buy that as well.
LMU is up there with the best value for money that I have got from any game, let alone a racing sim, because of the continued (and frequent) updates and extra free content.
I ended up booting all my racing sims except Project Cars 2 and Dirt Rally 2 after installing LMU. I’m not much of a racer, but this title has captured my attention. Automobilista 2 and ACC were great, but didn’t quite capture my full attention.
