Where do the Vietnam assets pack belong? I cant figure out where to put them…
I tried out for 169th SOAR in the sping of 1993. After I came back from Desert Strom I was anxious to get back in the “stuff”. I passed all the tests and did really well on the PT test. I will never forget getting there for the test. They had all thier cool stuff on display. Black Blackhawks, Modified Hummers with Mk 19s… But what impressed me the most was an OH-6 all in black with a side mounted mini 7.62. The guide said. It puts out a lot of RPM. More than a standard Mini. I was itching to go. My unit would not release me because we were fielding a new comms suite. We were behind the rest of the ARMY due to Desert Storm. I was crushed. I ran every night to get out of the house. My wife knew I was inconsolable. That fall a local boy from our Hopkinsville town was shot down over Mogadishu. Michael Durant lived in our town. My wife said. Was thtat the unit you were trying to go to? I tried to lie… She cried anyways. I knew I had been lucky…

If in doubt, park it in the mods\tech tree, this is where buildings, ships, tanks, units seem to belong to.

HYYYYPE! Loving it!
DO THIS NOW!!! I opened the Gazelle “Piloting skills” mission and saved it as an OH-6A mission. In two days I am terrible but not inadequate. You too can be terrible if you just try. Its a heck of a lot of fun. the course is a bit quirky. Once you figure it out… OMG… The Fun meter is pegged.

I need a volunteer to build a Fight Club .miz for the use of Angry Eggs and other whirly birds. We’ll need the following:
- at least two, preferably four or more of every chopper in the game plus the OH-6 set for clients. some cold start, some hot, give us choice. Oh and importantly, double them, one place has red, other place blue. We need to be able to shoot eachother without causing harm to our records
- A couple target ranges. Some easy, some hard. Some static, some moving. Some mean, some harmless. Some marked on the map and easy to find, some not. Be extra cool if we can spawn/respawn them using the F10 menu.
And that should get us sorted! I’d like it if it were set on either Marianas or Nevada, but any map except Caucasus is cool by me. I don’t have the time and quiet to build it myself, so I’m asking you lot.

I’d love to do this on the Syria map. The new areas in the south look great and Tel Aviv in particular looks a lot of fun to fly around in a small helicopter. It’s also a map most people own.
I can build a small mission with a few target areas and some random patrols but it’s gonna take a few weeks as I am fairly busy with the squadron right now. Maybe early December, but no promises

Amen to that! Beside the fact I’m so close to Somalia that when I took a trip to the coast I was literally expecting US helicopters to fly over my head.
