MSFS - Screenshots

Quick review or score out of 10 would be appreciated.

I like it but it isn’t perfect. The METARs can take some time to update, so for example, it is now 0226Z and the database hasn’t updated to the 0156Z weather for KJAC. For the price I’m not disappointed. If you are finding the stock weather system somewhat lacking then I think you will like it. If they had priced it at $50 I might not be so happy though. 7/10 maybe.

What is the METAR for Willow Run - Detroit? Asking for a friend.

 At least you are not at KDET :grimacing: . REX is showing the current weather for KYIP based on the 140253z METAR. 230/08 10sm and clear. A walk in the park. .

Is our Annual XMas Flight going to look like this?

The freeware project Grumman Goose is really cool. Still very much a work in progress. The engines cut off if you stay at too low of an idle speed…and the radio stack doesn’t work. I couldn’t get my generators to keep the battery voltage up for some reason…nor could I raise the landing gear (perhaps due to no electrical power…I dunno…it might use a hand pump that I can’t find)… The freeware developer just wanted to release it a bit early so people could tool around in it over the Christmas break. If it continues to improve…it will be a great add on! (Thanks to @HiFlyer for showing us where this one was!)

I really like the new ‘real weather makes snow appear’ thingy they’ve added in MSFS today. We had a bit of snow yesterday, and if you go north from CYVR you can see it layed out on the ground and at higher elevations. It’s a nice effect.

Apparently you can land on the ice, but I died horribly when I tried. I guess some ice isn’t so thick…

Wasnt that in the known issues list? That you can only land if you turn immortality on because it dtill counts as water?

I probably should have figured out how to defrost the windows before taking off. :upside_down_face:

Okay, going to a warmer region in SoCal has improved my window viewing.

Checked out the Goose, loved it back in FSX. It’s pretty rough in MSFS2020 but flyable.

Did you download the update that fixes the wingtip floats?

No, will have to give it a go. Thanks for heads up!

@Victork2 Thought you would get a kick out of these. Unfortunately I didn’t have much luck with the panel, but I’ll have another go at it.

Wow!! Thanks @PaulRix that’s a gorgeous shot of the best looking plane

Is it flyable on MSFS? that might actually tip me into buying the sim?
