Oh man…VR refueling (and maneuvering helicopters) just spoils you for the precision it allows. I’m gonna try it again tonight in VR and see if it really makes that big of a difference. I suspect it does.

The Su-33 is also the only aircraft with a non-optional refueling mode autopilot that’s attempting to keep you in level flight. Any adjustment from it means you’re constantly fighting the aircraft.
That’s why we need full fidelity sims…
On another note. I once again tried to add the tailhook command to the Su-25T (since the last time I tried it was prior to the Su-33 flight model change)…aaaaaand it still doesn’t work. Boo for me…
First attempt (hoping that the tailhook would be invisible but still work)…not so much. I did shred a tire though…

I just flew my old Su33 mission after a long break and it felt different—much better. If there was an AR autopliot, it was much easier to ignore than before. Late to the party but 2.5 is amazing!
