Personalised Textures - Data Collection Edition

Yeeha @komemiute! Oh boy oh boy oh boy!

However, no worries if it takes a bit longer. Great things are very much worth waiting for, the Hornet coming to mind.

@FDunne: sorry man. I managed to do both @AeroMechanical and @chipwich tonight, but I’m too tired to do yours too…

I promise next week.
I’ll put extra care, to make up for it!

EDIT: after @FDunne is done too I will retouch some details of @Sryan that now I know how to fix. :stuck_out_tongue: After that… surprise.

My new ride thanks to our resident artist extraordinaire, @komemiute.

Left side complete with Chipwich nose art, pilot name, and 336th squadron emblem.

Pilot’s flying suit has 336th emblem on left shoulder, 4th TAC Fighter Wing emblem on right shoulder.

Right side intake sports 4th TFW emblem that reads Fourth but First which dates back to WWII when they destroyed over 1000 enemy aircraft.

SJ designates Seymour Johnson AFB in Goldsboro, NC, but fighter pilots know it more affectionately as Sweet Jesus.

Note: They don’t actually have C models at Seymour, because the 4th flies the Mudhen. So this is a fantasy aircraft until RAZBAM gets around to the E model.

I reckon there are two easter eggs hidden in rhe texture.
Wonder if you noticed them…:stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

It’s a little blurry…but I think just above the engine inlet is a warning label…and I think it says:

People who push for power are mentally unstable…

It’s pretty blurry though…so that might not be what it says…

@komemiute no worries!

@BeachAV8R yep- that’s on your skin alright.

Cool. OK, I think I see one on the pilot’s right breast pocket. MudSpike logo? Have to leave for work now, but will certainly look after I install the 1080 tonight!

Yes, correct. It’s a shame there’s all that stuff on the pilot’s chest as actually even the nametag is correct.
That said there’s one more to find- hidden in plain sight.

@komemiute, it was so awesome to have my name on my flying suit…

…but obviously the crew chief forgot my box of Chipwiches.

The ramp rats know that I can’t fly without Chipwiches, so I’m giving them some time over this long weekend to reflect on their lack of performance while they repair my aircraft.

Not having Chipwiches for the mission makes me so angry!

Actually, beautiful aircraft @komemiute. Don’t change a thing. I’ll deal with the Dept. Commander for Maintenance (DCM) tomorrow morning at standup, me being a Capt. and all

You still didn’t point out the second easter egg!

Oh. Oh my.

Bit pressed for time right now. More screenshots to come later. Many, many thanks to @komemiute!!!

Another lovely plane! Incredible, you really got the lighting right. I think I’m gonna take that last screenshot to the bathroom.

I wish all these awesome aircraft could gather at KMUD sometime. Does NTTR extend that far over toward Kingman? (I’m not at home and can’t check at the moment…)

Actually…it does look like the KMUD area (near Red Lake, Arizona) is in the DCS Nevada package…not sure what resolution it is though…

Actually it IS there…I can see it now

KMUD DLC for DCS World 2.0! Come practice your instrument approaches, join your friends in a friendly landing competition on our accurate NOLF, and dazzle the spectators at our Joint Use Bombing Range. It’s all here in scenic KMUD Flight Test Center. Then come sip a cocktail or have a brew at our world famous “Zone of Truculence” bar with a glass patio overlooking the NOLF… (managed by @near_blind)

I wonder what that Tornado is doing there?

It’s going to have to wait a few days. The geniuses laying fiber on my street managed to cut my cable line, and it’s taken five days, four calls, and enough “I’m an electrical engineer, I know what you’re talking about better than you do” conversations with"Arthur" and “Paul” in Bangalore to last me a lifetime to finally get a tech out here to replace my line.

Tomorrow. I hope.
