Should have named him Winston :joy:

Hard to believe how much our little girl has grown… Even harder to believe that at only 7-1/2 months old and already nudging 35kg, she still has a bit more to go!

(The fact you’re not American makes me feel less like I’m picking on you personally :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:)

But now I think about it, a small dog is probably a useful common unit of measurement, because most people are familiar with it

Confession:
I use house cats as a measurement.
I don’t know when I started, but it is a weight I have a feeling for. It is also easy because it is roughly kilograms divided by four.

That’s because unless it is a Maine ■■■■, Ragdoll, other large breed (or just what cat lovers call a “chonker”) then most cats weigh just over 4kg (9 lbs).

I am also German so of course I use full crates of beer as a unit (20kg or 44lbs, or around 5 cats).

Edit: Huh? C O O N is getting censored?

Apologies for the censorship, that’s probably my country’s fault :palms_up_together: (was yet another racist term used to belittle indigenous people )

My cat’s almost 7kg… and he’s not obese, just a real house tiger! And he was once so small I could hold him in one hand…

Yeah, there are big boys. I also know a cat that is HUGE (larger than both of mine put together) despite reportedly being a normal house cat and not looking fat.

That doesn’t work for me. Normally our Burmese weighs about 3kg, unless I am in bed and it is 5am and she is walking across my bladder… In which case she weighs a ton!

That is a weight I am very familiar with - but not beer. My wife thinks I am a pack mule and that is the same as a bag of horse feed or a jerry can full of water.

When you stare into the void, sometimes the void stares back.

Don’t forget to slow blink

Haha, had dig it up from the archives, but I had the same sink malfunction several years ago.

Merry Christmas Gaia… And family.

We have had to forego a tree this year. Conifers, baubles, twinkly lights, tinsel and ridgeback puppy is not a good combination.
