Made a bracket for mounting the fire extinguisher on the SimBox wall…
And here’s a look at the new inside of my SimBox lid…
The upper recess got another layer of epoxy resin and some alu frames.
I will glue velcro dots on this surface and mount some patches there, for morale!
The lower part of the lid also got a routed recess. This time I made sure I only cut 10mm deep…! Yes, I am capable of learning from my mistakes… At least until the next time I forget.
Your mistakes still look better than most peoples’ success!
Haha amen.
My youngest just bid farewell to her cot and moved into her brother’s room. That opens up her “room” (it’s really too small to be named a proper room) as a spare bedroom/ dad’s cubbyhole.
So I am about to start on the second iteration of my pit. I have some boards and beams to work with.
I do need a seat, thinking about visiting nearby car graveyards to get one. Car driver’s seat is comfy, mounted on rails and adjustable. Downside might be that it puts the stick too far forward.
I’ll post pics as soon as I start work on it. It’s not gonna be pretty! should I be making me own thread or can I just mooch off this one?
I don’t think we could argue if it was built in box format…
Is that a biplane in the reflection?
That way, too.
@schurem I vote for own thread! Would love to hear all about it!
@Troll you are an engineer, an artist and a pilot. I’m envious!
Well! I must have one!
Thanks for the link!
I really should get cracking on my stick…
Couldn’t you just nab one off the wreckage?
Arrrrgh! You wound me Sir!
Yes as usual your solution is light years ahead of mine which is to dangle them off my ears.
Pics!!
